What is a meet n greet?
A meet n greet is a time for us to get to know each other and your pet in their home environment. We go over information sheets to make sure we have everything we need to know about them and the location of food, cleaning supplies, leashes, etc. Ambers Pawsitive Vibes Pet Services will also take this time to go over the invoice, payment methods, when a payment is needed and our service contract paperwork, as well as any other questions you may have.
How do we communicate?
After each visit, a follow-up text is sent with a summary of the booking, with a photo or video attached. Coming soon in August, we will be transferring to a pet sitting software.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations of services need to be made at least 48 hours in advance for walks or drop-in visits. Anything less than 48 hours’ notice will be a full charge, billed at the current rate. If we show up and you forgot to cancel or someone is sick, the client will be billed for the full drop-in/ walk. We do understand that life happens, so we do try to accommodate last-minute changes whenever it is feasible.
Overnight bookings need to be cancelled 21 days prior to the booking starting. Once the booking/ services have started, if you return home early, there is no refund for the remaining days.
What happens if we stay away longer?
Please let us know as soon as possible to see if arrangements can be made to care for your pets. If we can stay longer, the bill will be expected to be paid within the week of completed services/booking.
Late Fees?
A bill that has gone past the 7-day mark will incur a late fee of an additional $15 per day or 15% per day, whichever is greater.
Federal Holiday Pricing
Federal holidays will have an additional $15 per Drop-In, as well as $15 for an overnight, either beginning or ending on a federal holiday. Furthermore, a $15 price increase is in effect for all services the WEEK of both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Enjoy your holidays, folks!
Do you require a Deposit?
Overnight bookings do require a 20% nonrefundable deposit paid within 2 weeks of booking your services. The deposit does go toward the total bill.
How does payment work?
Ambe’rs Pawsitive Vibes Pet Services accepts Cash, Personal Checks, Credit Cards, or Venmo. If paying by Check please make it out to Amber’s Pawsitive Vibes Pet Services.
Any bounced check will be charged a fee of $25. Continuous bounced checks will result in personal checks not being accepted.
Credit Card Payment: Card payments can be taken, please let us know at the meet and greet if this will be your preferred method, as it has to be done in person.
Do you accept behaviors?
Yes, we will do drop-ins, walks, and overnight sitting with nervous, anxious, and reactive dogs and dogs who have a bite history as long as proper conversations have taken place. With dogs who are reactive or nervous to people, we prefer to have more visits to get your nervous pooch used to the idea of a sitter before they are left alone in a situation that makes them uncomfortable. The goal is for them not to be uncomfortable but to feel safe and happy in their own home while their owners are away. That often does include extra visits and steps in the beginning.
Can you Train my dog?
No, I do not train dogs. I have experience with anxious and reactive dogs, but I do not train nor am I certified to train dogs. I can provide local resources if you want more assistance with training your dog.
What other animals do you accept?
I accept cats, dogs, backyard farm animals, small mammals and rodents, and birds.
I have experience with birds (large and small), handling of small, chinchillas, ferrets, cats, rats, mice, hamsters, bunnies, and feeding a horse.
